About AGREE
The overarching objective of the AGREE project is to establish the Atlantic Network for the Valorisation of the Great Nautical Expeditions. This objective addresses a shared transnational challenge through coordinated action among project partners. The project applies the Council of Europe Cultural Route framework to enhance the valorisation of the Great Atlantic Expeditions’ legacy.
AGREE includes the establishment of a Scientific Committee, the creation of an Atlantic Association as a governance body, and the development of a new Council of Europe Cultural Route. It also involves the implementation of four pilot actions in Huelva (Spain), Lagos and Sines (Portugal), and the Ouest Charente County (France), as well as measures to increase the visibility and innovation potential of the new Cultural Route.

Pilots
The project ensures transnational cooperation among partners and promotes the sustainable valorisation of maritime heritage across the Atlantic area. It also subscribes to the New European Bauhaus initiative to combine art, culture, social inclusion, science and technology.
